We are approaching 300 members and we have built up a quite amazing record of the River. Keep your pictures coming! As we move into the "boating season" I expect there may be some taken from the river rather than from its banks.
Reminder: - this group is for pictures of the Thames from the source in the Cotswolds to Teddington, not for pictures of the tidal Thames in London and the estuary.

About The Freshwater River Thames
This group is for pictures of (and from) the River Thames from Teddington to Thames Head in the Cotswolds (sometimes known as the non-tidal Thames). It's the part of the river originally run by the Thames Conservancy and now managed by the Environment Agency as navigation authority.
Pictures of boats on the river, landscape, waterscape, townscape, buildings, structures, flora, fauna and of people enjoying the river are most welcome.
Please try to put titles on your pictures and a note in the description box on location. It's also helpful to others interested in the Thames if they are geotagged on the map. Additionally, when appropriate, it would be good to have a note about what's going on in the photograph. Members of the group are positively encouraged to add comments on other member's pictures if they are able to add interesting or useful information.
The group is NOT for pictures of the Thames in London or of the Thames Estuary (the saltwater Thames or the tidal Thames). Any such pictures will be removed. Similarly, the group is not for pictures of Thames tributaries unless they are taken very near to the confluence between the tributary and the main river. There is a sister group for tributary pictures - The River Thames Tributaries.
