Politics on FLICKR with that "New and Improved" Free Speech

It seems that on other threads that claim to be political, and also seem to imply that they belive in free speech, if you post anything even the slightest bit politically incorrect, first you get crap from other posters and then you may get banned. Say one thing about a terrorist, a liberal, or feminist and suddenly you are branded as a racist, a bigot, and worse. For sure don\'t criticize a gay man or woman, never criticize a Muslim terrorist or a black man or woman, that will get you banned for sure. Don\'t forget that the people in Europe are so much better and peaceful than Americans, as well. Expressing ideas contrary to that "logic" will get you banned. So much for political free speech.

Few of the other political thread have a problem with portraying Americans as Nazis, War Mongers, racists, etc, blah, blah. One anti bush thread actually has as it\'s logo a photoshoped picture of George Bush in the cross hairs of a rifle scope, but no one has bothered to criticize that, because well, it\'s anti Bush, and that\'s OK. Forget that threatening the President of the United States with murder is a crime, whoever is president.

So, the reason for this group is true Free Speech. You can express yourself on politics, left right, black, white, Republican, Democrat, whatever. You won\'t be banned.

There aren\'t many rules here, but a few: no personal attacks, no porn. Flame wars that get out of hand will not be allowed as well. But you can post your ideas here, pretty much whatever they are without fear of being booted. Other political threads may not know the meaning of the word "Free Speech". Here, like in the American Constitution Bill of Rights it comes up as Number One.
