This group is dedicated to all the Urbex Crews and Individuals who constantly get hassled, chased, fined, and arrested by law enforcement agencies working under the jurisdiction of a corporate entity.
We here at Freedom Urbex respect the police because they generally are peace-loving people trying to be helpful, just as we are. However, it is certainly true that our common law rights have been infringed upon by UCC statutes, and more simply put, by trickery of language and deceit. This has led to a misunderstanding by police officers that all individuals agree to the same set of laws, and thus are subject to the same jurisdiction. Many people consent to waive their common law rights, but not all, and thus peace officers must respect the common law rights of those who do not. In short, when you learn how not to agree, and how not to consent to waive your rights, everything magically changes. You become free…. Really free.
It might be in our best interests to stand together to educate the public and our public SERVANTS. In short time, we can probably save ourselves a lot of trouble, and freely do what we really want to do: photography and art.
I see the potential that this group has to be a catalyst for change. It has long been the tradition of artists to be at the forefront of paradigm shifts, and we at Freedom Urbex are not different from those who have come before us. We have a special affinity for freedom, and wish for nothing more than to be left alone to document what we see.
The people of the sovereign movement and urbex have much in common, and by working together, we can effect change.
