About All Things Named Franklin

Monuments often get built to great people (and not so great people). But the best tribute of all, is when things get named after you. Ben Franklin is one of those monumental iconic people in history with more than his fair share of people, places and products sharing his name.

As we put together the exhibit "Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World" we realized that for a man who never set foot in Minnesota, let alone wasn't alive to appreciate the state, there were a staggering amount of things named after him.

We figured this would be a good chance to gather photos of all things named Franklin (or Ben Franklin).

The rules are simple.
1. Big Plus If your photos show signage proving the photos are what they say they are, ex: "Franklin County" "Franklin Avenue" "Ben Franklin Plumbing"
2. Unless the 50¢ piece or $100 in your pocket is named Franklin that might be time and money better spent being spent on adding it here.
3. Though Ben is very photogenic no images of him please (unless part of a place named after him), however, others named Ben Franklin or Franklin are very welcome.
