I like this set. Aside from making me want some coffee, I find it also makes me want to know more about the story. My mind wants to piece together a story from what's provided.
The way I read it right now is:
1. intro. A cup of coffee. at a non-descript establishment. The filter makes it non descript... other than there's wooden tables...an people drinking cofffee..and the waitress.
2. I think there's an intimate conversation going on... hence the 2 cups of coffee. But she's looking in another direction... does she want to avoid this conversation? Is she looking for the cream?
3. I'm looking at the face behind the cup more than the cup itself. They're looking so intensely...like they're engrossed in what the other person has to say... or are they really intent on what became of the cream? I think their pupils are looking more upwards than directly across.. are they talking to the waitress?
4. resolution / non-resolution... The last drop of coffee. It would seem that they did not get their cream. I really like the non-focus on this one. It just seems to work. I'm not sure why. Possibly because the other shots were not from the perspective of the people. They were from the perspective of the cutlery or something detached from the people.
Its a nice set. I know that's probably not the story but i like how there's control of what the viewer actually sees. Just enough clues for the viewer to draw their own story.

strong set. I like the splashes of blue that lead your eye away from the central focus point in every frame: which is always the coffee cup. The cup is the central element which unites and links all the characters in the story.
