**********The idea is to SELECT A PORTION of a single found image(any type), to create a new emphasis/composition.*************

The exception:comic/tv/movie frames NEED NOT be cropped (see rationale below). OTHERWISE, DON'T POST A COMPLETE FOUND PICTURE AS IS. Those go HERE

About Fragments From Found Images..also TV, Movie, & Comic Frames

Select and crop a DETAIL OR PORTION of a found image to create new emphasis/composition. Zero in on the part of an image that "says it" for you. (use movies, comics, graffitti, murals, signs, packaging, illustration, anything!).

No collages. Present single fragments as found. The only creative decision here is deciding what part of a larger thing you want to zoom in/focus on.

ONE WRINKLE IN THE RULES...

Movie, tv, & comic frames can be sent even if not cropped, since by taking them out of context you are still taking a piece of a larger work and presenting it as its own thing. That's the basic idea of this group.

With the exception of movie/tv/comic frames, DON'T send uncropped images here. Send them to OUR COMPANION GROUP FOR ALL FOUND IMAGES. Also all found images that aren't snapshots should go HERE

Are there times when an image is in a grey area between being a detail or portion of a larger thing and being a complete, "as is' thing? Yes. Just use your best judgment in those cases. If in doubt, send to both groups.

Have Fun.
