Foto [noun] - a picture of a person or scene in the form of a print or transparent slide; recorded by a camera on light-sensitive material.
Tomodachi [noun] - A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts.
Fotomodachi - A project to unite all photography enthusiasts around the world by encouraging them to share their stories, their interests, their lives and their love, through a tiny disposable camera.
Please read further on how to become a Fotomodachi:

1. A disposable camera will be circulating among 3 Fotomodachis (you) around the world. From Fotomodachi A, to Fotomodachi B then Fotomodachi C.
2. When Fotomodachi A received the camera, take 9 pics on the disposable camera. Anything to share what you see, what your life story is, spread the love.
3. Inform us once finished and we will let you know who's the next Fotomodachi is to pass the disposable camera to.
4. Post it out to Fotomodachi B. And the process recycle back to Step 1 until it reaches Fotomodachi C.
5. Once all shots have been taken in the camera, Fotomodachi C will post it back to me.
6. Then I will develop, scan and upload the pictures here.
From the 27 shots in the camera, there will be surprises, stories to tell and life experience to share. It will show us the diversity among 3 countries, cultures and lives of the 3 fotomodachis. And most importantly, a new friendship has just begun.
