This is the place for all those interested in food styling, where we can openly talk about our photography, tips and problems and grow both as photographers and as community members.
About Food stylism
Good looking food, great decorations, awsome pics.
You do not have to be a professional photographer but your photos need to show a "styled" aspect either in the stylism of the food or the composition of the frame.
Do not post pictures taken in restaurants, at the drive through, etc...(exceptions would be if the pictures were part of a planned commercial shoot for example)
Limit your picture submissions so single, diptychs and occasionally quads. ( think about the cohesion of the collage in regards to the food stylism of the pictures). Multiple collages will not be accepted as it difficult to have a discussion about each picture.
We want to make this group very dynamic and in this regard we strongly encourage members to comment on other people's picture and engage in a conversation about the shot itself. Give your opinion, discuss the choice of styling, the use of props, the angles, etc...
We'd rather see a picture that makes people converse back and forth than 5 "Beautiful shots" for said pictures.
Remember that comments, questions and suggestions are just that. We are not here to tell someone how to do something but to engage in a community experience where we feel all free to look and be looked at.
