About Food of Bengal
This is group contains photos of food traditionally made in Bengal, an eastern state of India, with Kolkata (formerly known at Calcutta) as it's capital city. If you have taken food of Bengali food, please upload it to this group. You can be from anywhere in the world and there's no distinction between Bangladeshi or West Bengali food. As long as it's from the Bengal or Bangladeshi region it belongs in this group.

It would be great if you could add a detailed description of your photo so that we all known what it is. Remember, this group will be viewed by people from all over the world, not just Bengali's so don't just assume we will all know the regional name of a dish. Where ever possible, please provide an English translation of the name of your dish or food and occasionally the phonetic pronunciation of the food to help non-Indian's get a grasp of what you've photographed.
