Many synagogues have food drives during Yom Kippur in order to collect food for those in need. Tikkun Olam - Repair of the World - is a central component of Judaism.
www.OurJewishCommunity.org is the world's first progressive online synagogue. Instead of having people donate in one specific place, we are hosting a virtual food drive. Please take photos of your food donation, share your stories here, and donate the food locally.
