About Bus UK: FOKAB Running Days
Each New Year's Day Friends of King Alfred Buses group organises a running day, based in Winchester. The event is to commemorate the King Alfred company bus routes, using preserved authentic vehicles to run over traditional routes (free of charge) within Winchester and to surrounding towns.
The day is always a good opportunity to get out and about after the festivities and enthusiasts and general public alike enjoy the atmosphere of days gone by. The weather is often surprisingly kind, and with the variety of buses turning out, including some new visitors every year, there are plenty of photo opportunities.
I should add that I'm just a person interested in looking at and riding on buses, and an avid photographer. Neither I nor this group has any connection to the Friends of King Alfred Buses group.
