About Focus on Celebration of Service

The Focus on...Celebration of Service project is an unparalleled opportunity for you to record through photographs one or more of the volunteering activities that will be taking place in celebration of IBM's Centennial. This group is restricted to IBM employees including fixed term hires or retirees of IBM Australia or IBM New Zealand.

The top 100 photographs submitted to the Focus On...Celebration of Service project will be used in a commemorative video to be published on w3. IBMers will be able to vote for their favourite photograph (or series of photographs)—the People’s Choice. This will be featured in a special article on w3 profiling the volunteering activity and the team photographed.

PHOTO GUIDELINES:
• Quantity: You can submit up to 6 photographs of a volunteering activity
• Composition: We’re looking for photographs that capture the spirit of the day and of
what volunteers are trying to achieve
• Posed photos are fine, but please no team photos (we know you can be more
creative than that!).
• Portrait or landscape ? Landscape is preferred.
• Colour or black and white? Either is fine.
• Size: your photographs must be no less than 3000 pixels on the longest side
• Format: JPEG
• Touching up your photos? You can if you like. But there is no need to. And
please, no groovy special effects!
• Captions? Please use the comments area in Flickr to provide details about your
photo. Do not embed captions in the actual photo.
• Permissions: These photographs will only be used for internal purposes. However you
should ask the volunteer organisation (before the day) if they have any objections to you
taking photographs while you are volunteering there.

THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE
