The "language of flowers" has been used by poets, writers, artists and designers.
The term "Language of Flowers" was introduced to the West by Lady Mary Wortley Montagu (1689-1762). The first book published about the Language of Flowers was, "Sur le Langage des Fleurs" by Joseph Hammer-Purgstall in 1809.
