What is a Florida Halfback? It's a nickname given to Floridians who originally migrated to Florida from the north, but now prefer to be "halfway back" in the serene and relaxing mountain and lake areas of the Southeast U.S., including North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia.

Regardless of where you reside, Florida Halfbacks is the group for you if you are a regular visitor to the mountain regions, or plan to relocate there, or already live there. We want to know more about your favorite places, and ask that you focus on providing pictures with a flair for nature such as lakes, mountains, waterfalls, wildflowers, animals, birds, attractions and parks, inns and lodges, gated communities, log cabins and serence locales.
