About Florida Forever

The Legacy Institute for Nature & Culture (LINC) has partnered with the Flickr group Florida Conservation Photographers (FCP) and the Florida Forever Coalition (FFC) to create the “Florida Forever” Flickr group as the home base for the LINC/FCP/FCC photography contest. The partnership between LINC, FCP and the FFC serves to conserve Florida by using photography to educate the public about the Florida Forever land acquisition program. Originally this contest revolved around the publication of a calendar. But the uses of the winning image have expanded beyond the calendar to include a printed exhibit. This contest is open only to members of the "Florida Conservation Photographers" Flickr group. You must join the FCP to be eligible to win this contest. The contest carries a prize of $250 and the winning photograph will be published in the 2012 Florida Forever Conservation Photography Calendar, along the likes of Clyde Butcher, Jeff Ripple, and many other top photographers around the state. It will also be published in an exhibit and online in various places. Since our focus is Florida Forever, our contest rules are different than most photography contests.
