About Florida Conservation Photographers

Florida Conservation Photographers is a collective of passionate photographers who have joined together to help spread awareness and educate the public about local conservation issues through photography. Through our work, we hope to document past and current conservation issues around the state and inspire apreciation for the unique and diverse flora and fauna of Florida. Currently, FCP consists of over two hundred members who spend 1000's of hours on the ground in virtually all parts of the state to expose Florida through the lens of conservation.

This group is designed to bring Florida nature photographers together in a forum not only to display their photos but also to discuss all issues related to conservation of Florida's wonderful native flora and fauna.

Photographs offer a unique way to convey to others the preciousness of Florida's natural resources. This group is designed to show images that help others not only to see that beauty but also to possibly adopt a deeper appreciation for the paradise we call home.

At this critical time in Florida's history, it is important that those who see the impending results of unabaided development and abuse of Florida's natural ecosystems join together and do whatever it is they can help slow the concrete tidal wave that is engulfing what is truly one of the most interesting and unique places on this planet. As photographers it is our responsibility to use the skills that we have developed to help protect the places that we enjoy, photograph, and escape to.
