What is Floatopia?

Thousands flocked to Southern California's Pacific Beach Saturday for an alcohol-fueled party dubbed "Floatopia."

Partiers in boats and tubes and anything that floats took advantage of a loophole in San Diego's ban on drinking on the beach.
They drank off the beach, in the ocean.

The gathering was promoted on a Facebook page.

More than 10,000 people said they would show up.

Dozens were arrested for public drunkenness.

Police say at least two people were taken to the hospital for severe intoxication.
