About Reptiles and Amphibians of the Florida Keys

This group is about sharing finds, adventures, photographs, and stories involving the reptile and amphibian life on the Florida Keys.

It is important to document the Flordia Keys herpetofuana as best we can. The Keys are still a unique place, but they have transformed much over the past several decades. Habitat destruction and alteration has negatively effected all taxa of wildlife found on these islands. From the mangrove forest to the limestone pinelands, the Florida Keys reptile and amphibian diversity is unique, with several species endimic to these islands. And those species not endimic, show a great variation from their mainland cousins.

The rules are simple.

1. Only photographs of Florida key reptile and amphibians.
2. Only photographs of wild reptile and amphibians.
3. Please provide some locality information, Key specific will do (no need for anymore information on the internet).
4. Up to ten photos can be uploaded a day.
