This group aims to be a collection of the finest photography on Flickr, bar none. In order to keep the quality of this group up to a high standard it is 'INVITATION ONLY'. There is no prefered style, subject matter etc... anything goes as long as it is the best out there.. and I mean the very best!!

We are not looking for endless shots of sunsets, family members, pets, flowers, cute children or other cliche subject matters unless it is uniquely shot, tells a story, gritty, different or just plain stunning! You get the idea.

If we see too much of the above it may be deleted. I hope this doesn't have to happen but please don't be offended if it does, it will not mean we don't think a photograph is good, but more that it is not right for this group. Because Admin doesn't really want to be a quality control, it is up to the members to be selective and choose only the best images!

I make no bones about this being an exclusive group, it's the only way we can try and make this the best one on Flickr. Please don't think this means we are unwelcoming, we are looking to embrace great photographers and their images with open arms... we just have to find you first! : )

So members, hunt around, see what inspires you and get inviting!

IF INVITED - PLEASE READ!!!!

If invited once, it's only for that specific image and no more. In order to post, you must first join the group if you have not already. Click the 'Join Group' button and send me a mail with a copy and pasted URL link to the image that was invited. This is not for me to decide whether I like the image or not (I want it to be the members who are judging) but more to make sure that someone has been invited for that image.

IMPORTANT: An invite will be refused without explaination unless the invited images URL is pasted into the application mail. (see above). Admin cannot go looking for your image and we must see it to accept it.

Once you have recieved a confirmation email you will be free to post your image and begin inviting others.

When you post your pictures add this as a tag: "FLICKR'S FINEST" (Including the quotes)

You MUST receive an invite for any other picture you post, even if you are a member. If an image is uploaded to the pool and has not been invited it will be deleted, however good it is... the rules are there for a reason!

Once you have posted, please take some time to comment on at least 2 other images in the pool, and remember once a member you may invite as many other images as you like. Share the love!

IN ORDER TO INVITE YOU MUST BE A MEMBER. Once you are joined, visit the discussion notice called 'How to invite' on the main page (you can only see Fickr's Finest's discussion board once you are a member).

LOOKING FOR AN INVITE?

If you are desperate to be seen by this group you can paste "IS THIS A FINEST?" (including the quote marks) into your tag for an image. Admin and Members can both search under this tag to find your image and maybe you'll get an invite.
