Super!
Can you do the same thing with more than 500 last photo and have a look for each contributor on their last post ?

It would necessitate more calls to Flickr… but yes, it's possible.
What do you mean "have a look for each contributor on their last post"? Do you mean the thumbnail should be set to their last post (rather than their buddy icon)? As it is, clicking on a user's link takes you to that user's contributed photos to the pool, and hence the first photo in the page is automatically that user's most recent contribution…

Haarg my english....
:-)
Thank Alto for your interest.
i think it'll be interesting to see some example of their contribution (4 or 5 shots...), immediatly in the result page , near each buddy icon and without clicking on a link.....and if we can configure the number of most recently added photos, that we wish .
Another request :
it's possible to have a look on the main contributor in a pool .

You are welcome.
Ok.
But isn't the first one in the list the main contributor?

Update
In addition to a user's buddy icon, thumbnails of his most recent contributions are now displayed in the results page (the maximum number of thumbnails to display is configurable).

No?
Not working, or taking very long?
Try it with a small group, e.g. flickrpipes, and tell me if it works please…

That's good with flickrpies..but not with portrait_face .....
Before your change it does fine.
Any idea?
But , i had seen the new result page , and that seems very good.
One more time on the road ,Mister Alto!

Now I understand why you want it to be based on more than 500 photos!!
Hehe.
I'll try and see why it's not working… thanks.

What a great tool you have here :-)
I've been searching for this tool for months...
I'm an admin (busy one...) at the *Challenge You* group. I am publishing a TOP10 pool contributors each month. I've been doing it manually.... searching trough thousands of photos...
Is there any possibility of enlarging the number of photos (500 is too few) and adding a combo to select a month?
I must confess I've been trying to make it myself using Pipes, but it is too hard for a API dummy like me :-)
I saw the code of your tool, I did understand the connections but I don't understand how to make it report what I need.
Please help me...

julioc, I'll add the month option another time, and I was thinking a further way the results might be filtered could be to pass through only those who have contributed at least min photos and at most max, where min and max would be configurable… what do you think?

It is working fine enough for me. Please let me say I am very grateful. You don't imagine the work I have in making the CY Top10 Pool contributors using only some GM scripts. The month would be much more useful, but if I run this pipe tool exactly in September 30, 00.00h GMT, pointing the number of photos posted since September 1st, the result is fast and accurate.
I've tried with 2100 photos (that's the number of posted photos since Sept 1) and I've got the results in only 5 seconds. I am amazed :-)
About the max and min option it wouldn't be helpful for me, except if the max and min refers to dates...
yet again, thank you very much!

hey alto...
greetings, you geek ! :P
so.. what's the maximum number of last uploaded pictures i can base my TOP CONTRIBUTORS list on ?
I tried 40,000 and it worked for me, but not 50,000 ....
anyway, I guess 40,000 is ok for any normal-non-let's-break-a-guiness-record kind of group...

broken glass, hello again, fellow geek :)
so… I don't know :)
But to satisfy you, I will give you a geek answer… if it works for 40000, but not for 50000… try 45000, if it works try 47500, if not 42500, and keep iterating till you get to the answer :)
Hehe.

haha...
by the way, the maximum number of photos to display per user seems to be off by one... i.e., i enter for 3 pictures to be shown, but i get 4... think the fix won't be too difficult.
alto, you won't ever delete your pipes, right ? because you know if all we users suscribe to your pipes and then you delete it.. it'd take us a lot of time to notice that from our readers that it's not updating...
thx.. see you !

broken glass, is it!? Can you give me the URL containing the parameters to generate this wrong output? Thanks.
Hehehe. No, I don't plan to delete the Pipes I publish, nor change the external interface (pipe input names). Also, when I make changes, they are always backwards compatible (e.g. when I make a value that was previously fixed, and make it configurable, then I make it default to the old fixed value).
If I were to be forced at gunpoint to delete a Pipe, then I would first insert an item giving some warning for some days… and delete it later.
Hehe :)
Thanks!

broken glass, hehe, actually I myself did not realize it was the buddy icon until I arrived to the subsubpipe that does the job! Maybe that's a clear indication that it is confusing!
Mmm… how would you improve it? The best would be to remove the buddy icon, but then again the buddy icon is sort of informative… what do you think?

Hey !
Sorry.. had been "busy" for a while.. (meaning i had to get inspired again to get into this infinite posibility world of pipes!)...
i think i'd put something like this (as the username is already displayed on the title):
contributed 40 of the 240 most recently added photos:
Is there anyway of getting and displaying the time the picture was added to the pool ?
I've been doing experiments with youtube pipes, you can check out the results in the link.

broken glass, ok, but this particular pipe is intended to be viewed in the Yahoo! Pipes page, and not to be subscribed to… and the Pipes page will not show any pictures embedded inside the "description" HTML. It will only show pictures that are embedded inside an item as "media:thumbnail".

Hi Edward ! The app is not working today. I get the following error message:
Pipes encountered a problem while running this pipe: The Pipes engine request failed (503)
and when I try to open the source I get:
Problem loading
Oops. System error: badly formed response
Do you know what's happening?
