Great!!! Much better than using Yahoo maps.
Would it be possible to have a "Search address" icon/text input, and the photo been moved, automatically, to that address/location??
Thanks for the Script, I think it is a much expected improvement.

Thanks wctang the location search works nicely. Your GMap is a must for us Spanish, since Yahoo maps are very low resolution at our place.

Hi wctang , is it possible to have the "Save" button activated just after a "load latest location" action? Many times I locate quite precisely a photo of a set, and would like the rest to be exactly in the same location without the need to move slightly the photo as it is now.
Thanks,
Paco

Hi,
thanks for the tips of this hack! Though one thing I have not figured out yet is how can I do if I want to create my own webpage and display the result?
For instance how I can do it with the GoogleMaps GPX hack, see this page for instance? www.yelloworb.com/software/phogpxion/

Hi there, I like this script very much. It's great, kind of a wet dream for everybody that is dissatisfied with the lack of details in Yahoo maps.
It didn't work for me in the first place. When I clicked on a link, the map wouldn't open. But I figured out the solution to this problem. If anyone else has the problem: When you have Adblock installed on your Firefox, it probably blocks the following URL:
www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js
Simply de-block it or switch Adblock off while browsing through maps and it'll work.
I want to raise a question in this context: Is there a possibility to deactivate this Google Analytics adblock filter only for flickr, e.g. by using regular expressions on the Adblock filter? Does anyone know?

Great script - BUT latest version no longer saves locations. Had to downgrade back to earlier version to get it to save locations again.

Totally change the world map browse behavior.
Speed up the dragging map action.
Fix minor bugs.
@ maloXP
Because google analytics is not the must feature, so I let it just pass if it can't be load. may be it will solve the problem.
@ KingKobra, Paco CT,
This bug should be solved in latest version.
Thanks all your feedback :)
Let me know if have any problem or suggestion.

I totally don't understand how to use this. I went to organise my map and it's still Yahoo maps. Frankly I didn't bother with geotagging because I don't want to start using Yahoo maps.
How do I actually add a photo to my map and how do I view geotagged photos in google maps instead of Yahoo Maps?

This script can't replace the "Organize" Yahoo map, it still useful if you want to geotag a lot of photos.
This script focus currently focus on "browse" function, like world map or photoset map. And you can geotag photo in "single photo map", one by one. So if you want to geotag a lot of photos, may be "Organize" is still the good answer now.
("Organize" is a GREAT application, unfortunately Yahoo have it's own map. )
After install this script, you can try "World Map" or click "Place this photo on a map" in single photo page.

Is there something special you have to do when looking at world view to see everything? I have previously tagged most of my shots using Organize/Yahoo maps, but when I use GMap Show from the world view, none of them show up anywhere.

@tsheets
Maybe you need to change the search behavior on the left top side in world map view. By default the world map view will only show the recent photos (one month, because it is not easy to browse all time photos.)

Version 3.0 release.
* Implement Orgnaize Map.
We have a small but faster organize map, and you can use it by select the "Your map" in the "Organize" menu. With organize map, you can multiple select photos and drag-n-drop the photos on the map, or right click on the marker in map to remove photo location. Just like a light-weight Organize map.
* Localize interface
currently only English and Chinese.

wctang Great!!
Would it be difficult to have browsing (next previous, would do) capabilities in the "small" map? When I click on a place with more than one photo, only one is displayed and there is no way to move to the next, previous, first, etc.

wctang it is my most used GM script by far!!!
The "search" form stopped responding. That is it pop ups, one can write the place, but after it nor the "buttom" nor the enter key, produce any result.
It happened before to me. When the latest version of GreaseMonkey was released and I installed it. At that time I reinstalled a previous version of GM, and Gmap's search did work. But since GM latest version keep trying to install itself, I would really appreciate if you could check that incompatibility issue.
Thanks in advance,
Paco

@Paco,
The search form use some tricky method to workaround the security improvement of Firefox 3 (and GM extension). currently this feature works for me (firefox 2/3, latest GM, windows), but It indeed may have some problem. I will try other method to solve this problem in later version.
Thanks for your use :)
wctang
P.S. Here is a related application call "Gmap Photo Show", grub photos from flickr, picasa, and panoramio and show with the same way. Try it and give me suggestion. :)

wctang I've got back the ability to "search" for a given place. Thanks.
The pop-up window (Save, remove, ...) gets cropped at the small size map window.
"Gmap Photo Show"
It looks very nice and loads fast. I would add some kind of "search for" (address, tags, flickr name, ....) capability.
In the pop-up window showing the photo selected from the bottom row, there are some users (among them myself) whose "buddy icon" image is not loaded, while others are shown perfectly well.

Just new here and appreciated your work.
I am looking for the solution to link my geotagged photo with Google Map and the script works like a charm on my system.
I saw there's link for create a link or something so people without GM script installed are enable to see flickr photo with GMap layer. However I can't find it.
just a screenshot - I tried PC's FF2.0.14 and Mac with FF2 & FF3 without luck.

This has suddenly stopped working for the direct mapping link on the photopage on two different computers.
The map link in the drop down menus still work.
Has Flickr made a change to knock this out or am I alone in experiencing this?

The Flickr GMap Show 2 works fine for me in single photo page.
(I'm using Firefox 3.0.1 with Greasemonkey 0.8.20080609.0)
Hope it will work in every page with map soon!

I enjoy the options this script provides. But is it too much to ask that it not annihilate the flickr map function links, simply add alternative ones?
