About Canon PhotoChain (The Flickr Group)

Head Banner

Welcome to the Flickr Canon PhotoChain:

Official Canon PhotoChain Website: www.canon.com.au/worldofeos/photochains/

This group is dedicated to any photographers that are participating in the Australia/New Zealand PhotoChain. Although the Photochain submission on Canon is reserved to only Oceania participants, international members can also submits here for constructive comments and compliments. Members have the total freedom to make an account on the Canon website if they want and participate in the actual photochain.

Flickr Group Objective:
This group aims to explores digital and traditional photography through personal members submissions. The submission are open to any photograph provided that it is related to the submission made in the Canon Photochain. My main objective here is to be able to share all submission is made regardless been selected or not. Moderators would recommend sharing your photograph that you have submitted into the chain here, however there is no obligation to do so. Photographer has the right not to exhibit its creation. We respect that.

Definition of Photochain:
PhotoChain is an online software engineered by Canon Corporation to explore digital photography. It features a link mode which states what the next subject is. Initiated by one photographer, the chain goes on as selection has been made to take photos for the next link. The photo does not have to have physical definition or object within. It can be implicit and conceptual.

Camera:
You may submit any form of photography. Whether it is digitally processed, RAW, Film, we accept all of it. Photo does "not" have to be taken with a Canon camera. Even though this is a Canon created website, we in fact encourage other camera users to share their creation as well. Please feel free to upload photos taken from any camera.

Rewards:
There is no rewards or prizes in the public chain. However, there is a PhotoChain in which you can participate to win a DLSR. Canon PhotoChain has always hosted a competition known as the Hero Chain Feel free to re-direct yourself via this link.

Voting:
It is more or less unfortunate that Flickr does not have a poll system. Voting could be done via the discussion forum located here. Please understand that sometimes Canon PhotoChain has all control of submission by default. From what we have read , the winner of the previous link decides on, they become the new chain owner and the whole process starts again for their new link. So please, if you have made a submission please check back regularly to see if your photo has been choosen. The reason this group ask for regular submission is because it can suspend the chain from expiring.

Contact:
If you have any questions or doubts about what this group does, please feel free to private message the group moderators or other moderators on duties.
