About Flickr SOS Project - NEW CONTEST: "B&W People Calendar"

Flickr SOS Project has born with the intent of raise funds for charity.
The idea is to collect a lot of beautiful photos in this pool and then use them to create books, publications and other stuffs that can be sell through Internet. The proceeds of the selling will be then devolved to charity no-profit organizations.

We have already realized a first book, that you can buy online. Read the relative thread!

Now we have a new contest opened, to realize a 2009 calendar.

HOW WE REALIZED THE FIRST BOOK

Welcome!

Flickr SOS Project has born with the intent of raise funds for charity, thanks to the publishing of a book with the photos of Flickr' members.

How? The project is divided into three phases:
1. In the first one, Flickr' users can post their most beautiful photos on the group.
2. In the second one, the best photos will be choosen and then published on a real book (thanks to the site www.lulu.com)
3. In the third phase, the book will be sold through Internet (the selling will be managed by www.lulu.com) and the proceeds will be devolved to a charity no-profit association

If you want to partecipate, please post your photos on the group. What kind of photos? Everything, especially that ones which have a subject expressing umanity and solidarity. Human faces, B&W, Landscapes, Artistical composition, Portraits, Faces, People... everything is allowed.

Remember your photos may be published on a book, which has a no-profit purpose. But you have to accept this rule when you post a photo (so, post photos with no copyright problems).

We need your help to make this project work. Please, invite your friends and contacts to partecipate to the group. Let the people know about Flickr SOS Project, noising about the url of the group www.flickr.com/groups/flickr-sos-project/
