Our lives are full of "first times", from first cries to the first stumblestones of age. In between are countless other first times, like the first book we read, the first crocodile we saw, the first self-portrait we took, the first love, the first travel, the first time we broke a leg or a heart, the first time we made a fool of ourselves, the first time we tasted snow, the first picture with a new camera, the first time we felt the earth move under our feet, the first time we tasted a mango, the first pair of red socks we bought, the first revelation, and so on.
