Hi everyone,

I really like this image of a seahorse with little baby seahorses contributed by Montse Grillo



I'm always partial to natural history and behavioural photos, so this fits the bill perfectly. The timing of the shot is great; the little baby in front of the adult looks like a perfect mini-me; and the clean black background is the ideal backdrop for a photo like this, making it easy to concentrate on the primary subjects.

One very minor suggestion: I feel like the photo would have been slightly more effective from a slightly higher angle, somewhat more from the front, looking a little bit down toward the adult seahorse, so that the face/ expression of the adult was more apparent. Perhaps also with just a little bit more light to make the subject really pop from the background.

It's a terrific image though, and shows that you had a lot of patience and put in the effort to get to know the animal. Thanks for sharing!
