About Fine Art Photography (in the footsteps of the masters)
This group addresses the need to have a forum for fine art photographers on flickr. While there are various interpretations of this term, it is used here primarily in contrast to the photojournalist style. Do you have an approach to photography that follows in the footsteps of Alfred Steiglitz, Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, Walker Evans, the Bechers, Stephen Shore, Jeff Wall, Andreas Gursky, Edward Burtynsky or Hiroshi Sugimoto (to name but a few...)? If you've ever been inspired by these or other great artists, this is an excellent opportunity to share your photographs with others who share your interests.
The types of images that should be posted here are those that you think could, in a perfect world, spend time on a gallery wall. In keeping with this, high quality and large sized images are an obvious bonus.
So please add some of the photographs that you've always thought deserve the gallery treatment!
