About Why File Sharing Is Bad
Here's the idea:
File sharing applications like Kazaa, Gnutella, etc, are useful for sharing more than just music. People share all sorts of files on their PC's, including their photos. Try this:
1) Search for files with a default prefix. (i.e "IMG_", "DSCN", "CIMG", etc.) You'll find hundreds.
2) Download a few at random. Don't grab everything, you'll choke that person's connection.
3) Look through them for interesting/amusing/wierd shots.
4) Don't chose anything too personal, or identifying. Crop/edit faces if it helps.
5) Crop/tweak exposure as required. Maybe do something with it that the person who took it wouldn't have thought of.
6) Post it here.
I'm sure if you have any ethical problems with this you'll let me know. I'm not sure myself how I feel about this, but I think as long as you follow step 4 nobody can get too upset. You might want to consider your default CC license to see if it applies to something you didn't produce yourself.
There are a lot of interesting pictures out there that don't wind up published anywhere, so this could become an interesting collection.
