About Figueroa Mountain & Central Coast (Wildflowers & Wildlife)

This group is devoted to the wildflife and wildflowers of Figueroa Mountain, located north of Santa Barbara, California. Rising above the Santa Ynez Valley, access to the mountain is from Figueroa Mountain Road near Los Olivos and Armour Ranch to Happy Canyon Road near Highway 154/Lake Cachuma. Please read the group rules! Be sure any images posted here focus on wildflowers or wildlife -- not just landscapes of the area. Eliminate man-made items whenever possible. Thank you!

As of 3/7/10, the Figueroa Mountain group is now open to images from the entire Central Coast of California. For purposes of the group, that will encompass all of Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Monterey counties as well as Kern County west of the I-5 Freeway ONLY. (Including this part of Kern County will cover such wonderful wildflower locations as Windwolves Preserve, Cottonwood Canyon, Carrizo Plain NM and Highway 58.)
