About Edwal FG-7
Originally formulated by Dr. Edmund W. Lowe of the Edwal Laboratories, Chicago Illinois, Edwal FG-7 is a fine-grained, general purpose liquid black and white film developer. It is said to be based on Harry Champlin's #16 formula. When used at dilutions of 1:15 or greater, FG-7 is soft working and has a slight compensating effect. For even finer grain and reduced development times, a small amount of 9% sodium sulfite is often added to the stock solution.
More information about this classic developer is available at the Brandess-Kalt-Aetna Group (BKA) website.
