About The Fez

The purpose of the Fez is to organize photo "contests" in Seattle. By contest, we don't mean to encourage competition, but rather to explore various interpretations of similar settings. Our first project is called One City Block.

Here's how it works. At the beginning of each month, we will post a randomly chosen location within the Puget Sound area (most likely within the Seattle City Limits). Your mission is to go to that location and photograph whatever catches your eye. On the last week of the month, everyone will upload their photos. (You can upload them as soon as you want, but they won't be allowed through the moderation queue prior to the last week of the month). The purpose is to avoid seeing others' photos prior to taking your own.
