Festival Mundial is uitgegroeid tot één van de grootste en meest veelzijdige mondiale wereldmuziek- en cultuurfestivals in de Benelux. Qua formule en methodieken hanteert Festival Mundial een mix van (wereld) muziek, dans, poëzie, educatie, workshops, debat, (internationale) stages, actieve mediabenaderingen, uitwisselingen, ontmoetingen en infotainment. Naast een veelzijdige en gevarieerde artistieke betekenis biedt Festival Mundial een unieke en onderscheidende bijdrage aan de verspreiding van informatie en meningsvorming in Nederland over internationale samenwerking, duurzame ontwikkeling gericht op structurele armoedebestrijding in ontwikkelingslanden en onze multiculturele samenleving.
