03 May 09 - The "modern" Feria was started as a cattle fair in the late 1840's. The fair grew in size and eventually the people were more into celebrating than purchasing a certain number of heads of cattle. In 1950 the celebrating and cattle parted ways and the Feria as an event evolved into more or less what it is today.
This group celebrates the vibrant dresses, costumes, casetas, food, decorations, and excitement of feria.
