There is something particularly interesting about the subject of the photographer making a photograph The particular subject of this group is photographs of female photographers taking photographs. Why a group devoted to this subject? Look through the posts to date. The breadth of subjects and style are fascinating. Relationships between the photographer and the subject are reflected in many different ways. The fact that the subject photographer is female is central to each photograph and provides a unifying theme. Beyond that, the variability on the concept of a recursive photograph seems almost endless.

The taker of the posted photo may be either male or female; the subject in the photograph must be female. Following this theme, a double recursive photograph, that is, a photograph of a photographer taking a photograph of you taking your photograph, is one the more interesting expressions of this concept, but there are many other variations.
