Barefoot Portraits

Every photo that is accepted into the pool will exhibit certain basic characteristics. The most important of those, of course, is that they all contain bare feet. In addition, for photos to be accepted into the pool, they must also contain the rest of the subject's body. There are no closeups of just feet/legs in this group. Every photo must exhibit a certain minimum level of quality and taste to be accepted. The group rules which can be read right here are enforced strictly and are essential to keeping the group from looking like all the other "foot" groups on Flickr that appeal mostly to fetishists. That is not the aim of this group at all. That being said...

I hope that the photos found in the group pool will help you to discover the natural beauty of bare feet, and also to notice how having a barefoot subject can alter the mood or feeling of a portrait. Bare feet in photography is not only timeless, but can add a sense of elegance, free-spiritedness, genuineness, sexiness, vulnerability, or even insanity. The wide gamut of feelings that bare feet in a portrit can convey is what this group strives to learn about. I seek out portraits to invite to the group on a regular basis, not based on sex, age, skin color, etc. Every portrait is welcome here as long as it contains a barefoot subject, is in good taste, and exhibits a certain minimum level of quality.
