Not a little, tiny baby, but not yet a year old when I took this, Merlin's eyes are still very dark, here. She's been part of our family for only 8 weeks, but her eyes are lighter already. She'll always be our baby, though.

Actually this little one did not make it. These ducks are wild, and we think that a snake might have had this one for dinner. Poor little guy...Anyhow, I was able to photograph it as it emerged from the safety of the nest which was inside the hollow at the base of the tree. You can see mama inside the hollow of the tree.

This is not a great photo.....taken with a 1. nothing megapixel camera almost 4 years ago....but I love it nonetheless.. :~)

This little guy hatched two days before Christmas, I think he is only hours old in the photo as none of the others had hatched yet..
