How far do you go for the perfect picture?

Sometimes we have to climb rocks and trees for the best angle or stand in deep mud to get close enough to a cool object. We risk insects bites for the best macros and wet feet for great landscapes.

If you accept a suboptimal but safe view, go away! This group is for photos that show you're a fearless photographer.

Group Rules

Please post only photos that sheepish beginners wouldn't have taken.
For example:

- photos taken at places that are difficult and/or uncomfortable to access
- close-ups of creatures that might have bitten your nose
- scenes that might have ended in serious camera damage
- pictures for which the cave guide (museum personnel, security guy, etc.) threatened to throw you out
