About Amstaffs & Pit Bulls - FAWN colored!

**BRAND NEW GROUP** PLEASE JOIN US!*** This group is brand new as of August 12, 2011,

Welcome! I thought it would be fun to have a group just to display American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers that are FAWN colored! I love ALL the colors and patterns these beautiful breeds come in - but since I happen to have a fawn pit bull myself, I enjoy seeing others of the same color. There are groups just for the brindles, just for the reds, but why not the fawns?! We are pretty too!

What is FAWN, exactly??
The term "fawn" refers to a genetic range of tan color varying from a pale cream all the way to a light red. However depending on the registry or breeder you are talking to, the names they use to refer to these shades may vary.

Other terms that are used to describe the fawn range of color are:
-tan
-buckskin
-(fawn with yellow tones)
-beige
-champagne
- red fawn
- (fawn with rich red tones)
- blue fawn - (this, and the one listed below are fawn with a distinct blue or grey cast and a blue or grey nose)
- fawn bluies

or more incorrectly referred to as gold/golden, yellow, cream, apricot, orange, blonde, amber, creme, cinnamon, etc.

Fawns may or may not have a black "mask" (black around the muzzle and/or eyes), and may have any color nose. White patches are allowed. Show off your beauties! Purebreds or mixed all welcome. American Bullies also welcome.
