Fav/View >= 5% - please read the RULES!

Any photo with a Fav/View ratio greater than 5%!

Basically it means that at least one in twenty people who looked at your post liked it enough to "fav" it.

This is a live catalog of some of the best photos on flickr.

RULES (PLEASE READ):
- Fav/View >= 5% (i.e. 0.05).
- Minimum 5 favs (lower values are not statistically significant enough).
- No consecutive posts. i.e. you should not post if the most recent photo in the pool is yours.
This rule will prevent large chunks of photos from the same photographer.
- Only photos (no drawing/paintings).
- Only photos that YOU have taken (no stolen work).
- Please add photo description.
- This group has no restrictions of style or subject.
- No daily limit: you can post as many photos as you want (one at the time) if they comply.

If you post photos that don't comply with the rules, they will be removed. Persistent offenders will be kicked out of the group, or banned.


Tags: If your Fav/View ratio is >= 10%, please add the f/v10 tag to your photo. This way we can easily locate all the photos in this group that have a Fav/View ratio >= 10%. If your Fav/View ratio falls below 10%, I will add the tag "not f/v10", to indicate that you should remove the f/v10 tag!

Naturally the Fav/View ratio will vary in time, and while it was 5% when the image was posted, it can drop below 5% later. We reserve the right to kick out any photo with a Fav/View ratio that dropped under 5%.

If your Fav/View rato is >= 0.05 (5%), you should post in this group!

To figure out, calculate fav x 20 (just double the fav count, then multiply by 10). if the result is larger than the view count, your photo qualifies.

e.g. it qualifies if:fav = 5, views <= 100
fav = 6, views <= 120
fav = 7, views <= 140
fav = 8, views <= 160
fav = 9, views <= 180
fav = 10, views <= 200
fav = 20, views <= 400
fav = 50, views <= 1000
fav = 100, views <= 2000
fav = 500, views <= 10000
fav = 1000, views <= 20000
etc... you get it!

Usually the best way to find those photos is to look in your most fav's.

Another method is to divide Views by 20, and check that this is less than fav (and fav must also be at least 5).
