About Fauxtography

This group is about images that their makers get goofy with by using filters and such to give it a more stylized or illustrative look.

By way of an explanation with most of my fauxtographs I begin with a very old Casio QV-11 digicam that only takes 320x240 images — and not very good ones at that. In other words, they\'re mostly destined for the trashcan. But I found that when I toss them into Photoshop, blow them up and then just funk around with various filters and effects and such I come up with an image that offers something worth looking at.... or at least I think so.

So I hope you'll explore my fauxtographic submission and feel free to post some of your own.
