About Falkirk Victoria Harriers

fvh_logo_founded
Falkirk Victoria Harriers caters for runners and athletes of all ages and abilities. We are a competing club, participating in various competitions and athletics leagues around Scotland throughout the year, including track & field, road running and cross-country.
Training groups are based mainly in the Falkirk district although we have members throughout the country. New members are always welcome .
Each year the club organises the well-known "Round The Houses" - a 10K road race under SA rules, which in 2011 also raised money for Strathcarron Hospice.
If you are not a member of the club then we hope the site will give you an insight into what the club is all about and encourage you to come along to one of our training sessions. Thank you for your interest in our club.

A DOZEN dedicated athletes from Falkirk Victoria Harriers were crowned club champions at the recent awards ceremony.

And the club is welcoming newcomers for the new season.

They could become champions like Lauren Tenn-Mills and Emma Plenderleith who took crowns in the girls under-11 and 13 categories.

Hollie Lister and Selina Henderson were also top in their age-groups (under-17 and under-15) while Murray Wilson was under-13s boys champion. Baillie McRoberts was pick of the under-15 boys.

Hammer thrower Myra Perkins was recognised and added this year’s Vics title to her growing trophy cabinet, as did Fraser Weir - both at under-20s level. In the senior and veteran ranks the club boasts world-record holder Fiona Matheson.

However it was seniors Gary smith and Elaine Paterson who were crowned and Christine Eadie and Andrew Ronald in the Masters section.

A club spokesman said: “The club would like to thank all the Athletes who competed in last year’s cross-country and summer track season.

“We would also like to congratulate all of the winners at the presentation night who all had to perform at an extremely high standard to achieve their awards.”
