Hey Ladies,

***************
Received from: Kelly S, Debbie M, Debbie J, MaryAnn, Erin, Anita, Christine,
***************

I have posted a tutorial on my blog. Here's the link: weshallsew.blogspot.com/2013/07/palace-steps-tutorial-fai.... Really, all the details are there. Is that okay? :) If you want me to post them here, I will.

And here is my EQ7 mock-up for you. The trickiest bit, I think, will be getting the right range of yellows.

As you can see, I'm hoping for an ombre effect in each block.

Here is the block. It'll be one block that is 24.5" wide by 12.5" tall. Easy peasy!
DGS Gray and Yellow - block A

Here is the quilt:
Faith DGS Gray and Yellow

Here is a picture of yellows not to use (on the left), and yellows that read yellow (on the right). I also am going to use warmer yellows. If you compare the yellows on the right to the one on the bottom of the left column, you can see that one is much brighter and cooler than the others I chose. If possible, keep your yellows in the same range.
Yellows for Faith Quilt

There are two block designs.

Block A will be made byKelly, Ellie, Erin, and Christine (and I'm making 2 of this one)
DGS Gray and Yellow - block A

Block B will be made by Debbie J, Debbie M, MaryAnn, Anita, Anna and Minnah.

Please please PLEASE let me know if you have any questions! :)

Thanks for the tute! Although I skimmed, it all looks like it makes sense. I'll try to see if I have enough yellows today. If not, I can always go shopping. :)

Looks fun! I bought a bunch of yellows this week for this and another project so excited to sit down and see how they work together.

Melissa, I made my block today but in the photo the grey looks really dark. Sorry! If you find that it is too dark let me know and I will make it again. I dropped it in the mail this afternoon.
