About Facing the Future Photo Pool
Facing the Future is a Seattle-based national educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to engage students in learning by making academics relevant to their lives. We empower students to think critically, develop a global perspective, and participate in positive solutions for a sustainable future. Photos from our online community may be used for Facing the Future's publications, presentations, or website.
Contributed photos should express the following concepts/issues:
Biodiversity and Natural Resources
Natural landscapes, water, living organisms, energy sources, mining, fishing
Current Environmental Issues
Erosion, deforestation, pollution, energy use, waste and recycling, signs of climate change
Consumption
Shopping, material goods, advertising, manufacturing
Population
People (kids, families, elderly), populated urban areas
Quality of Life
Poverty, leisure, community gatherings, celebrations, community spaces, culture, traditions
Health
Health care workers and facilities, people being vaccinated, exercise, people in poor health
Food
Foods from around the world, markets, people cooking and eating, agriculture
Sustainable Solutions
Protests/rallies, voting, governance, government (buildings, meetings, officials), other solutions
Assorted/General
Education (teachers and students), buildings (homes and schools), cities, landmarks
