About Eyes of Afghanistan

Eyes of Afghanistan is an international project that seeks to share images and views of Afghanistan through the eyes of local Afghans and expatriates living and working in the country. These images represent their experiences and tell their stories of life in Afghanistan. The project is currently working on a photography book that will provide readers around the world with a window into Afghanistan seen through the eyes of foreign aid workers, volunteers, academics, security contractors, military, travelers and more. The book will include profiles of each photographer along with a selection of their photos presented in a high quality print product. A follow on project will present a different perspective of Afghanistan through potographs taken by local Afghans. Eyes of Afghanistan is run by a small group of foreign aid workers, photographers and documentary film makers in Kabul, Afghanistan.
