07 Dec 10 - This group is really for extremely large panoramas, and to really appreciate them you need a very large image shown on flickr! The image should have at least 10,000 pixels on one dimension and should be viewable by all on Flickr, but the biggest the better. Smaller images will be deleted, unless you also provide a link to a full-size version off flickr (with Zoomify or Google Maps for example).

About Extremely Large Panoramas 10,000x minimum

This group is about ultra high-resolution, extremely detailed panoramas. Please submit images that will strain your browser when you open them! a minimum of 10,000 pixels on one side of the images is really a minimum, and it should be viewable by all on Flickr. The largest, the better.

There are however two limits in Flickr: one is that the image has to be less than 20MB and the other is that the image has to have less than 135 million or so pixels. You will have to decrease a bit the quality of the JPG if you want to upload your original!

Better still would be to show a link to the ultra high resolution in Zoomify or Google Maps interface. This way people can zoom in all the way without having to download a very large image.

Since this is a group for the technically inclined, give some descriptions on the tools and software you have used, as well as the final size (in pixels) of the panorama.

Images that do not mention the full size of the panorama, or whose original is not viewable, will be removed from the group.
