About Extinction Symbol

This group is for pictures that contain the extinction symbol. This simple graphic symbol is intended to communicate the concept of extinction. The circle represents the planet, and the hourglass inside signifies that time is rapidly running out for many species.

Hopefully in time it will become as universally recognised as the peace symbol, so that an awareness of this vitally important issue is heightened in the public consciousness. The goal of this group is to help make that happen.

Your participation in this project is encouraged and welcomed, so if you feel motivated to help spread the message by creating the symbol in whatever form, size or location you desire then please do so and post the results here. Also feel free to join the group and add pictures of any other instances of the symbol you may have noticed.
