About Exploring Macro Photography
PLEASE READ THESE RULES!!!
REMEMBER: IF YOU POST PHOTOS THAT ARE OFF TOPIC AND/OR NOT TAKEN WITHIN THE TOPIC DATES THEY WILL BE REMOVED, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Please post them in the appointed discussion thread only.

1. NO NUDITY! (Or other offensive material) It will be removed along with the member.
2. All photos posted to the group must meet our 'Macro' definition.
a) Subject is to be no more than 12 inches from the camera.
b) For the purposes of this club...'Macro' means "extreme closeup"
3. You must take the photo yourself. Do not post photos you have borrowed, found on the web, or taken from any other source.
There is a discussion thread "Disqualified photos: Just wanting to share"; where disqualified photos are to be posted in THUMBNAIL size only please.
4. NO MODIFICATIONS are allowed to the photos. The only exceptions are 'cropping' and 'converting to greyscale'. Simple frames are allowed (solid color). Just remember... if your camera can do it, you can post it.
5. Limit: 5 photos per day. They must apply to that week's topic. Photos must be taken during the topic week. (See #3 for posting 'disqualified' photos)
6. Topics: Topics will be posted weekly on Friday evening to begin Saturday morning. They run through to the following Friday at midnight your time.
7. Weekly Contest: Weekly favorites will be picked by votes of the members. Vote on your 5 favorite photos from that week. Until further notice, please give each photo you comment on a score of 0 - 5 (you may use .5 but no other fractions please) to assist the administrators in the event of a tie.
8. Monthly Contest: Monthly favorite will be chosen from the weekly winners (1st, 2nd, & 3rd place photos).
9. Comment on photos. Give constructive criticism, be honest but diplomatic please. State what you like, or what you would like to see different. Ask 'did you try this?' The purpose is to help each of us become better photographers.
10. Rules may be added, changed, or updated at any time. (I will always post any changes or updates to the rules in the discussion thread.)
And the most important rule of all....
11. Go out there, have fun, and take some great photos!!!!
