About Good Photographs, Not Pretty Pictures

This group is about "good photographs" as opposed to "pretty pictures".

Where is the difference? Well, that is what the group is about. You tell all of us. By posting a photo into the pool you state your opinion about the photo being a "good photograph" rather than a "pretty picture".

Such a classification can be done very individually and it is interesting what each photographer thinks about his or her own work in this regard.

I encourage everyone to state opinions and discuss - but keep in mind: Although this group is about getting feedback please do not take it far too serious. Have fun to share your good photographs and have fun with pointing out, why your are proud of them. Have fun with arguing and exchange of viewpoints and most importantly - have fun.

Nonetheless you are encouraged to ask and explain why a particular photograph is considered good. Not in the sense of criticism or rating or competition but in the sense of pointing out an individual viewpoint.
