About Exploratory Design

Exploratory Design is a movement of artists & designers who focus on the design process. The idea of Exploratory Design is about latching onto the process and exploring it to no end.

I consider it a study which gives the designer the ability to explore new & innovative results (but not necessarily final solutions) freely without any pressures, or any preconceived notions as to a particular result.

Exploring new experiences, techniques, cultures, mediums, collaborations... It's meant to encourage the designer to bring a fresh way of approaching their work. But know that there is no one correct process, just countless "methods" to explore.

Now this is just a brief introduction to Exploratory Design, of course, there is always much more to consider (save for the book!). And of course each individual is free to interpret it as they wish.
