About EXIF Corner: Comment & Critique
This group is about photography critique, with an emphasis on technique and composition and development of style.
An important goal for this group is to become a place where members can learn from each other by sharing the EXIF data on their shots, hence the name EXIF Corner, and learn from constructive critique on their shots.
Group Rules:
------------------------------------
-The photographs that you post must show the EXIF data.
-One photo per day only.
-Follow good Flickr Etiquette, paste the group name and link before your comment:
[ Comment from the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/exifcorner/"><b>EXIF CORNER</b></a> Group ]
> Your comment here... <
-Write a small blurb in the -description area- if you want to point out environment conditions, objective of the shot etc. This is optional.
EXIF Corner:
> Your shot comments here... <
-You must comment/critique the last photograph before yours. I would like to encourage the following format:
(+)
List positive aspects about the photo
(-)
List negative aspects about the photo
Aspects to consider in your comments:
-Choice of format (Vertical vs. Horizontal)
-Framing
-Composition
-Exposure
-Choice of DOF / Aperture
-Choice of Shutter Speed
If you feel like it, comment on the overall "feel" , "impression" of the picture. This should be your personal reaction to the photograph. This is not required.
Comments on the choice of subject is optional. If you feel like commenting on the subject choice go ahead, but not required.
-Minimal Photo Shop......
The following post-process procedures are fine:
-Minimal cropping
-Keep-proportions-cropping
-Color balancing
-Color adjusting: Saturation & Contrast
-Composite exposures
-Digital dodge and burn
-Cloning / Heal
Post pictures that you consider some of your best work, knowing that there is always room from improvement.
Note:
Initially this will be a public group, depending on how things go, it may turn "invite only".
