Plant communities of Europe. Get yours at bighugelabs.com

This is a nature group about plant communities (Phytosociology).
The meaning of this group is to get a photodatabase about all the syntaxa (vegetation types) in Europe, with good metadata (tags).
For using a photo, ask the author via Flickr mail.

Please check the group rules first!

A good vegetation photo showes a good overview e.d. using a wideangle, from nearby to far away,
with a little horizon.

Some good examples of vegetations are:

Plantagini-Limonietum (Associatie van Lamsoor & Zeeweegbree) by Bas Kers

Salicornietum dolichostachyae (Associatie van Langarige zeekraal) & Spartinetum townsendii (Ass. van Engels slijkgras) by Bas Kers

and one example of two characteristic species,
with the vegetation on the background is:

Dactylorhiza maculata ssp. maculata (Heath Spotted Orchid / Gevlekte orchis) 0885 & Platanthera bifolia (Lesser Butterfly-orchid / Welriekende nachtorchis) 0950 by Bas Kers
